Addition to constitution to be discussed at 19th January EGM

In addition to making a decision about whether to proceed with the Boathouse Development plan, the 19th January EGM will be asked to vote on an addition to the club’s constitution.

The club needs to make the addition in order to achieve Clubmark accreditation.  Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. For more information about the accreditation, see the Clubmark website.

The proposed addition to the Cantabs constitution is as follows:

Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures: An individual or member with a complaint about treatment by the Club should set out their grievance, in the first instance to the Club President.  The Club will seek to deal with complaints in a fair and timely manner, with reference to British Rowing’s Guidelines on Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures in Rowing

A decision about whether to include this item in the constitution will be made at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Cantabrigian Rowing Club to be held at 8pm on Thursday 19th January in the Function Room of The Boathouse Pub (14 Chesterton Road, Cambridge, CB4 3AX).
