Bumps 2016 – results roundup

2016 CRA Bumps had its largest entry ever, with 110 crews competing. Cantabs had its largest ever entry of 26 crews: 15 men’s and 11 women’s. With so many crews, managing the logistics for the week threw up some challenges, but thanks to people too numerous to mention*, a great week’s racing was had, all rounded off by the traditional post-bumps party, featuring hog-roast, bonfire and general merry-making.

Results are summarised below (click to see larger versions):

Cross-club results charts are available on the CRA website

Cambridge News coverage included a feature on the youngest crew and other Cantabs juniors, and one on adaptive rowing, as well as their general reporting.

Individual crew race reports are being posted in the Forums General Chat  section of this website. Anyone who wishes to add a report from their crew is encouraged to do so!

*While we can’t mention everyone by name, Cantabs would like to express a big THANK YOU to everyone who made bumps possible, be they on the CRA Bumps Committee, within the club and beyond, by planning, marshalling, bank-partying, taking photos, repairing boats repairing, preparing for the party (including some great boat-building), cleaning up after the party, and supporting the rowers and coxes in any other way!
