Chilly but Cheery Charity Row

Congratulations to everyone who rowed/sculled/coxed from Cambridge to Ely on Saturday 23rd February as part of the Cantabs Charity Row.

Volunteers keeping boats straight in Bottisham Lock

Huge thanks are due to Mike Hunter for organising the event, to all the volunteers who helped in the cold along the course, lent or towed trailers, and drove the support boat etc and to everyone at the Isle of Ely RC for hosting us so well at the end (and raising a great deal of money as well)!

Donations to the Cambridge Pancreatic Cancer Center currently stand at more than £800, with money still to come from at least five of the 18 participating crews.  Special congratulations to Alice McWilliam for raising over £100 herself!

For all those who have yet to collect sponsorship or donate, please don’t forget to do so! You can donate online via http://www.cambridge-pcc.org/boat_race.html.  Please let Mike know what you have donated by emailing cambridgetoelycharityrow@gmail.com.
