تمت إعادة توجيهها هنا Our youngest juniors train exclusively in sculling boats; as they get older, many will start to mix in “sweep” rowing (i.e. with one oar).  Participants on the club’s popular Learn to Row Courses can expect to spend several sessions in sculling boats as they provide an excellent way to learn how a boat responds to the actions of the rower.  Many other club members who spend the majority of their time in sweep boats also enjoy training, and in some cases competing, in sculls too.

تفضل بزيارة الموقع The club has a number of beginners’ sculling boats which are stable, sturdy and ideal for those getting starting out in sculling, either individually or in pairs.  There is also a range of single, double and quad shells suitable for various crew weights.  The Men’s or Women’s Vice-Captain can provide guidance and will give you permission to use a suitable boat. Intermediate to advanced scullers are coached by Andy Johnson and Tom Copeland, with a focus on taking sculling to a competitive level at local to national level competitions. Scullers are welcome to join other squads for elements of training such as weight-training or ergs, where space permits; if this is of interest, please contact the relevant crew leader or the Men’s or Women’s Vice-Captain to discuss possible options.
